The Radio Room - 2012
Film course with B. Ambroziak at UTKCoAD

Memories spoken are falsified through abstraction. By creating a film built through abstract imagery and transplanted sounds, I seek to distill the memory to amplify it in my mind. The sounds awaken pieces of that place in my mind's eye. The film tells a story of a room in my old house where my mother would escape after tucking me into bed. Footsteps took her down the carpeted hall to a room on the end. Filled with a smoky haze, lit only with the moonlight and a small red light from the radio, the room cradled her. Vibrations of blues melodies buzzed in the wall by my head. She hid but within that space which lived within her evermore.
