IRL.DC started out as an in-person interfaith meetup group that fostered conversations outside institutional walls. My co-founder Allie Frazier came to me one day and said, wouldn’t it be great to meet people outside of church that share similar values but also like to have fun. That day, IRL was born. We collaborated with fledgling bars and restaurants to raise their brand awareness while doing the same for our own.
In 2020, the pandemic led to a shift online. We felt a sense of desire for community so we decided to host a morning call at 8:30 ET Monday through Saturday. We opened up with breathwork and grounding then moved into a short lesson. We then opened it up to a discussion. All questions were welcome and all perspectives were respected.
